4 Paws Therapy will always work within the confines of the law and will never work on a dog without gaining prior veterinary consent. We abide by the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Exemption Order 1962.
It is the responsibility of the your own veterinary surgeon to diagnose, we DO NOT diagnose but will always work with them and keep them informed of the chosen course of treatment
We recognise the limits of professional competence and training and as required we will always refer back to your veterinary surgeon
We will never make recommendations beyond our qualification and training
We will always work professionally, giving care and consideration to your dog
We will always carry out a full consultation and maintain accurate records
We will explain to you the treatment and discuss the anticipated outcome so that you understand fully what to expect
We will always respect your right to gain a second opinion
